Sorry meant "North American" debut. He signed a huge deal with the LA Galaxy a few months back.

He will play his first game in Toronto

Yup, they paid quite a good deal of money for him. I was quite shocked. I was shocked because he moved to US and also the amount of money he moved for. He is a good player, but not as good as he used to be.

Here in Canada we don't really realize how big the sport his. Aside from the huge pay day, Beckham is hoping to bring a lot of exposure in North America

I'm from Romania originally so I had a chance to see him there last year for a game. I guess it wasn't his day because he did not put on his best shoes that day. He was ok on the field, but there were players that were better passers, shooters and runners that day. again, Im not saying he's not good, just that he's not as good as he used to be.
Yeah,soccer is really big in Europe and I love it! it's one of the best games in my oppinion. We used to play it all day long when we were kids.
