Getting a cat/dog

Where would you go to get a nice puppy, kitten, but for a reasonable amount of money? The pet stores are really expensive.

Also, what are you required to do with the puppy/kitten. That is, what shots do you need to make, do you need to register it? Might be silly questions, but I really don't know what you should do.

Never buy from a pet store. You buy from pet stores, then it encourgages them to sell more pets.

I would suggest a "resuce" organization. You can find a rescue for almost every breed of dog across Canada.

Do a google search for a specific breed.

Why don't you buy one from a home? I got mines for free off a friend. His cat had 4 kittens, he kept one, I took one and sadly the other 2 went to a pet centre. The best place though is mabye a SPCA, they have all these nice cats, who are abused by bastard people... I hope you can find one that gets some love back.

Buying a pet is ridiculous. :P
Get one from some friend or relative as i did for my labrador. We got her from a family friend.
